Will you charge me any fees?

No, unlike many other brokers, First Business Mortgages will not charge you any fees for arranging your business mortgage or remortgage. A small administration fee may be payable on our bridging loan products, but this will always be agreed in advance and only payable on drawdown of the loan.

How much will a valuation cost?

The cost of a valuation will depend on the value of the business property. The full cost of the valuation will be refunded back to you upon drawdown of the business mortgage.

How much can I borrow?

Mortgages, loans and bridging loans are available from as little as £50,000 with no maximum limit.

Do I need to have financial accounts?

Not necessarily. We can arrange finance on a self certification or self declaration basis without the need for accounts or business plans. Furthermore there is no requirement for a lender interview.

What can I use the money for?

Mortgages can be made available for the purchase or remortgage of a business property. In addition you can also capital raise against the equity in the property and use the money for any legal purpose.

What if I have CCJ's or previous arrears?

Some lenders will not be keen to consider a business mortgage, however, at First Business Mortgages we are able to arrange finance even if there may be problems with your credit history. Whatever your circumstances we should be able to provide the mortgage that you need.

Is there an age limit?

No. We can arrange for funds to be made available for terms up to 30 years irrespective of your age.

Do I need to have business experience?

No. We believe that the business mortgage should be based on the value of the business property rather than you having to convince a lender of your ability to mange the business.

How long will it take?

We can provide a decision in principle within 2 hours. Mortgage funds can be made available within a matter of weeks.
